Laquon Treadwell will likely be a wide receiver in college, but the 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior has had to do a little bit of everything to lead Crete-Monee (Crete, Ill.) to a 13-0 record and Saturday's state 6A championship game. Treadwell, who was on the preseason American Family Insurance ALL-USA team, has played wide receiver, running back, handled kicking duties, played quarterback in some goal-line situations and defensive back.

Treadwell is looking at Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Michigan and Michigan State and says he'll make his college decision after the season. He has been selected for this week's American Family Insurance ALL-USA Watch. For the rest of the season, we’ll give a weekly look at football players who have either backed up the preseason hype or played their way into ALL-USA consideration.
The postseason ALL-USA team will be announced in December.
This week’s player: Crete-Monee (Crete, Ill.) wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.
2012 Stats: Has 75 catches for 1,339 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Best Games: In a 41-6 defeat of Bloom (Chicago Heights) on Sept. 29, he caught eight passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns. In a 35-32 second-round playoff defeat of Richwoods (Peoria) on Nov. 3, his team was trailing by 11 points in the fourth quarter when he returned an interception 53 yards for a touchdown, then had his second rushing touchdown of the night to seal the win.
Others’ Take: “He's a big, physical receiver and he's fast," said CBS Sports Network recruiting analyst Tom Lemming. "He will be an impact player in college."
