Josh Hart playing is way into American Family Insurance ALL-USA consideration

Josh Hart is averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds per game. / 247Sports

Josh Hart may be a bit of a tweener, but he's also successfully found his way between and around opposing defenses this season. Hart, a 6-foot-4 senior swingman at Sidwell Friends (Washington, D.C.) wasn't on the American Family Insurance ALL-USA preseason boys basketball team, but has been impressive so far this season, leading his team to a 11-1 record through Wednesday, including an upset of nationally ranked Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.).

Hart, who has said he plans to sign with Villanova, is the focus of this week's American Family Insurance ALL-USA Watch. Until April, when the postseason ALL-USA boys basketball team will be announced, we’re taking a look at those who have either backed up the preseason hype or played their way into ALL-USA consideration.

This week’s player: Sidwell Friends (Washington, D.C.) small forward Josh Hart.

2012 Stats: Is averaging 25.2 points and 10.3 rebounds and is shooting 66% from the floor.

Others' Take: "He doesn't get caught up in being pigeon-holed, worrying about taking outside shots because he's supposed to work on that. He just plays hard and leaves everything on the floor. He does everything it takes for his team to win. I didn't like losing to him, but he was fun to watch." -- Gonzaga Coach Steve Turner.

Look Out For: Rochester, Mich., 6-6 guard James Young, who opened the season with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocks last Friday in a 52-46 defeat of North Farmington (Farmington Hills). He followed that up with 14 points and 11 rebounds in a 51-22 defeat of Farmington and 23 points and 23 rebounds in a 58-52 loss to Chandler Park (Harper Woods). He has said he plans to sign with Kentucky.
