Moss Point (Moss Point, Miss.) shooting guard Devin Booker cranked in 49 points in an 80-65 win over Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, Ala.), on Dec. 22. Booker, a junior who is ranked No. 19 in the ESPN 60, said that, even more than usual, he was simply “in the zone.”
“It felt like exactly what people say sometimes about throwing a beach ball in the ocean,” Booker said. “Everything was falling. Even with one or two hands in the face.”
Booker scored 48 points earlier this season in a game and is averaging 33 points a game.
“I’m facing a lot of double teams and I’m just finding ways to be effective through it,” Booker said. “It’s a challenge, but I like challenges.”

Clark scored 47 points in a 93-63 win over Broken Bow (Broken Bow, Okla.) Thursday.
In a defensive struggle of a game, Coger found a way to be effective enough to help the Holy Rams win the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational title, knocking off New Hampton Prep (New Hampton, N.H.), 58-53 Saturday. Coger scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win.
Aaron Harrison, Travis, Richmond, Texas
Harrison, a preseason American Family Insurance ALL-USA selection, combined to score 65 points in two games Friday. Harrison, a Kentucky signee, scored 40 points in an 82-52 win over Miller (Fontana, Calif.) then followed that up with 20 points in a 55-50 win over Antelope (Calif.)that night.
Shelton Mitchell, Cuthbertson, Cuthbertson, N.C.
Mitchell scored 30 points in a 61-59 loss to Hampton (Hampton, Va.) in the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational Friday.
Jake Richmond, Oak Hills, Cincinnati
Richmond drained five 3-pointers and scored 36 points to help Oak Hills narrowly escape Pendleton County (Falmouth, Ky.) Friday.
