Max Browne was named the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Offensive Player of the Year.

Details: Brown passed for 4,526 yards and 49 touchdowns this season, completing 73.5% of his passes, to lead Skyline to its second consecutive Class 4A state title. He finished his high school career with a state-record 12,953 passing yards.

Gets fired up by: “Watching a Ray Lewis video and by just getting ready for a game. I get fired up just putting the uniform on, because I know it is game time.”

Superstition: “I have a great pair of socks that I have to wear every week. Plus I had to look at last year’s state title trophy.”

Career highlight: “Winning state my junior and senior year. This year, we had some issues in the offseason, but we got it together by the end of the season.”

Hardest hit: “Sophomore year, I got hit on a corner blitz and had to wait a bit until I got my wind back.”
