The team was chosen by USA TODAY Sports’ Jim Halley in consultation with high school coaches and recruiting analysts, including Tom Lemming of CBS College Sports, Brandon Huffman of Scout.com and JC Shurburtt of 247Sports.com.

Passed for a state-record 12,953 yards in his career. This fall, passed for 4,526 yards and 49 touchdowns to lead team to Class 4A state title.
Thomas Tyner | RB | 6-0, 200 | Aloha (Ore.) | Oregon
Rushed for a state-record 3,415 yards in 11 games, including a 643-yard, 10-touchdown game in September.
Derrick Henry | RB | 6-3, 243 | Yulee (Fla.) | Alabama
Set a a national record with 12,121 career rushing yards and had a single-season state-record 4,260 yards and 55 touchdowns this year.
Robert Foster | WR | 6-3, 170 | Central Valley (Monaca, Pa.) | Alabama
Caught 45 passes for 763 yards and eight touchdowns and ran for 481 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Laquon Treadwell | WR | 6-3,198 | Crete-Monee (Crete, Ill.) | Mississippi
Led team to Class 6A state title. Caught a school-record 81 passes for 1,424 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also rushed for 257 yards and two TDs.
Hunter Henry | TE | 6-6, 235 | Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, Ark.) | Arkansas
Had 107 catches for 1,449 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Evan Lisle | OL | 6-6, 265 | Centerville (Ohio) | Ohio State
All-Conference selection past two years and All-State this season.
Ethan Pocic | OL | 6-7, 285 | Lemont (Ill.) | LSU
Younger brother of Illinois lineman Graham Pocic, Ethan led Lemont to state Class 6A semifinals. Graduating early to play spring football at LSU.
Grant Hill | OL | 6-6, 315 | Huntsville (Ala.) | Alabama
Has also won five national AAU titles in discus.
Kent Perkins | OL | 6-6, 300 | Lake Highlands (Dallas, Texas) | Texas
Allowed no sacks during the last three seasons. Averaged six knockdowns per game this year.
Laremy Tunsil | OL | 6-6, 295 | Columbia (Lake City, Fla.) | Mississippi
Helped team run for 275 yards per game en route to the Class 6A state quarterfinals.
Matt Wogan | K/P | 6-2, 195 | Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, N.C.) | Oregon
Team captain made 11 field goals, including a 58-yarder. Also averaged 43.9 yards per punt.

Had 97 tackles (47 solo), four interceptions (three for touchdowns), eight sacks, and three blocked punts (two for touchdowns). Playing offense part-time, ran for six touchdowns and had 26 catches for eight touchdowns.
Jabrill Peppers* | DB | 6-1, 210 | Paramus Catholic (Paramus, N.J.) | Undecided
Had 76 tackles. Also ran for 18 touchdowns and caught five touchdown passes on offense.
Marlon Humphrey* | DB | 6-1, 175 | Hoover, Ala. | Undecided
Son of Alabama great Bobby Humphrey had four interceptions and averaged 40 yards on kickoff returns. Had 15 pass breakups, two blocked punts and a key interception in state championship win.
Vernon Hargreaves III | DB | 5-11, 185 | Wharton (Tampa, Fla.) | Florida
Had 110 tackles (70 solo), five interceptions, five pass breakups, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries).
Reuben Foster | LB | 6-2, 228 | Auburn ( Ala.) | Alabama
Had 80 tackles and five sacks.
Peter Kalambayi | LB | 6-3, 238 | Butler (Matthews, N.C.) | Stanford
Led team, which allowed only nine points per game, to state 4AA title. Had 12 tackles in title game.
Jaylon Smith | LB | 6-3, 212 | Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, Ind.) | Notre Dame
Won Butkus Award as top high school linebacker. Won state title every year while at Luers.

Led team to 11-2 record and Eastern Division title game with 82 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles.
Montravius Adams | DL | 6-3, 290 | Dooly County (Vienna, Ga.) | Auburn
Led team to Class A state title game.
Robert Nkemdiche | DL | 6-5, 260 | Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) | Mississippi
Led defense that allowed only 11 points a game. Had 59 tackles (26 solo), 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
Dee Liner | DL | 6-2, 274 | Muscle Shoals (Ala.) | Alabama
Had 76 tackles (55 solo) and 18 tackles for loss. Had one blocked punt. Helped team allow only 8.6 points per game.
Henry Poggi | DL | 6-4, 260 | Gilman (Baltimore) | Michigan
Had 87 tackles, including 31 for loss, and 16.5 sacks.
